Robinson Crusoe
I'm reading Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, well not actually reading, just listening to; for the last year or so I've been listening to books on tape during my commute to and from work, my commute is about 30 minutes each way, so I can get in a pretty good amount of a book each day. I'd never read Robinson Crusoe before other than some shorten version or what you see on TV, its a much longer book than I'd expected, about 10 hours worth of reading which is usually about a 300-500 page book. He was stranded on the island much longer than I'd thought and didn't meet Friday until quite a long ways into the book. So far its pretty good, a lot more philosophy and stuff, and not so much fighting pirates or cannibals, although there's some of that also.
Huckleberry Buckle
I made some Huckleberry Buckle last night. I hadn't really done anything with the Huckleberries I brought back from Montana other than freeze some and eat some on cereal or ice-cream, and didn't feel like making a pie, and I'd seen a Good Eats show on the Food Channel where Alton Brown was making cobblers, and crisps, and buckles, and grunts. Huckleberry Buckle is kind of like a cobbler.
My First Blog
I've been hearing a lot about all this Blog stuff for a while now, and after messing around with the photo-hosting web-site I thought it was kind of fun sharing photo's and thought it also might be fun to share words?
What are we blogging? Whatever you want? What are you doing today? What are you going to do tommorrow? What did you do yesterday? Political ranting and raving? Travel reports?
